what are nano brows

WHAT ARE
NANO BROWS

Also known as nano needling or feathering, Nano Brows are created with one single needle and a permanent makeup device.  Similar to a conventional tattoo machine (although nowhere near as intense or painful!), the device is used to provide controlled movements as it dispenses pigment into the skin.  Because of the way the pigment is dispensed into the skin, the pigment is retained better in the skin.  Nano Brows, also, has a manual stroke shading effect.  The shading effect creates more dense and realistic eyebrows.  One of the main features of Nano Brows is that after applying the pigment under the skin, the color does not change after healing.  Nano Brows technology is ideal for all skin types including clients who have capillaries located very close to the skin surface, oily, and/or problematic skin.

nano post care

POST-CARE INSTRUCTIONS

REMEMBER:  Always wash hands with soap before you touch your eyebrows.

HOW TO CLEAN YOUR BROWS

During those first 48 hours the treated area can ONLY be cleansed with the antiseptic wipes provided to you. No water or other cleansers of any kind can be used for any reason.

  • Day 1:  Following the treatment, gently blot the area, for the first 3 hours on the hour, and prior to bed, with the antiseptic wipes provided.

  • Day 2:  On the second day, blot or gently wipe the treated area three times, morning, afternoon, and evening, again ONLY with the antiseptic wipes provided.

NEXT 5 DAYS

It is normal to be excited about your new brows; however, DO NOT touch, pick, peel, tamper, scratch, rub, injure or remove the peeling in any way, you will damage the color and affect the retention.  Let the skin naturally go through the healing and recovery process.

It is normal, because of the skins natural healing and regeneration process, for clients to experience color loss or what appears to be color loss, causing the brows to look uneven or even disappear altogether in some areas.  This is the reason we require a minimum of two treatments, your follow up appointment, we can ensure the best possible results, make any minor changes and pigment the area slowly for the most natural results.

  • Days 3 - 7:  Wash your brows 2x's (morning and evening).   Use the soap provided in your aftercare bag and apply a tiny drop to each brow.  Run your pointer fingers under cold water and in small circular motions use a light touch to wash your brows.  Rinse brows with cold water.  Gently blot brows dry with non-shedding towel or clean tissue.

NOTE:  You will start to experience a dry sensation in the treated area.  Once this begins to happen you may apply a rice grain size amount of the A & D ointment provided (for both brows). This can vary from client to client. If you have extremely oily skin and do not experience this dryness DO NOT apply the ointment as it will affect your retention.

  • Day 8:  You may start to wash your face normally using a gentle cleanser. Abstain from any physical activity. Do not let any sweat, water, lotion, soap, or makeup touch the treated area.  You may apply a thin layer of ointment when showering or washing your face to protect the area from steam and moisture.

DURING THE FIRST 14 DAYS

  • NO hot sauna, swimming pool, ocean, hot bath/shower, sun tanning, tanning salons, Vaseline, Neosporin, or any other petroleum-based products.

  • NO massages, facials, waxing, threading, lash extensions, tinting, laser or skin treatments.

  • Allow NO WATER to collect or sit in the brow area.

DURING THE FIRST 30 DAYS

  • DO NOT use any products containing

    • Alcohol

    • Lactose or Fruit Acids

    • Retin A

    • Glycolic Acids

    • Peroxide Neosporin

  • AVOID salt and saline on the treatment area

  • AVOID any injectables for 30 days (i.e., Botox, Fillers)

  • AVOID any prolonged sun exposure. You must use a hat if you are in the sun.  After 30 days your brows are healed on the outside, and you should begin to ALWAYS apply SPF 30+ on the tattooed area.

  • DO NOT expose the area to unsanitary or dirty conditions.

FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN LOSS OF PIGMENT.

HEALING EXPECTATIONS

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE HEALING PROCESS

  • DO NOT expect your brow tattoos to heal perfectly after the first session.  This is at least a 2-step process.  It takes time.  BE PATIENT during your healing process.  Every client heals differently.  Your brows will change and appear different from day to day.

  • Don't be concerned that your eyebrows will initially appear darker and warmer in color, more defined, and heavier in size after your appointment.  Your brow tattoo may appear more solid, slightly swollen, thick, and red.  Hair strokes may seem to disappear, and it may look wet and painted on during the healing process than when they are completely healed.

  • Your touch up appointment (10-12 weeks) will perfect your look adding hair strokes if needed and going over any faded strokes and shading if needed.

  • Natural exfoliation will cause the excess pigment surrounding the eyebrow procedure to flake away and narrow the width of your brows. Do not pick. Let it flake naturally.

  • Don't be concerned as this is all a part of the healing process.

nano stages of healng

STAGES OF HEALING

The below image is what you can reference for the stages of emotions you may go through with the stages of healing your brows may go through.

stages of healing.png
caution

CAUTION

WHAT BE WATCH OUT FOR DURING THE HEALING PROCESS

  • LYMPH:  a white creamy substance, something your body pushes out in the healing process.  If you feel heat or pressure in your brows, most likely it is lymph.  Spot clean with antiseptic wipes.  Lymphatic drainage should not occur after 72 hours.

  • SCABBING:  Let the scabs fall off on their own.  DO NOT peel it! It will pull the ink out.

  • SUN:  Keep your brows out of the sun!! If you must be in the sun wear a hat. After the healing process apply daily sunscreen to keep them fresh looking and not faded. It is a type of tattoo, and the sun will fade them.

  • STRENUOUS ACTIVITY:  No strenuous activity for the first week is what is recommended! Excessive sweating will affect your brow retention.  Not only that but you are opening yourself up to infection.  Touching gym equipment and then wiping your brow sweat is the last thing you want to do.  If you ABSOLUTELY must do any kind of strenuous activity keep your hands clean, don't touch your face.

  • ANTIBIOTICS:  use of antibiotics or hormonal therapy will lead to faster or complete pigment fading.

  • SWELLING, REDNESS, AND FEVER:  If you are experiencing a massive amount of swelling or redness this IS NOT normal.  A small amount of redness and swelling is normal.  During the procedure, there was a lot of wiping, so if you have sensitive skin, the skin might be irritated for a few days.  If you have swelling, redness, and a fever you most likely are experiencing the early stages of an infection.  You should call me immediately and seek medical attention.

BOOKING INFORMATION

Ensure you have read all the above information I have provided prior to booking your appointment to ensure this treatment is right for you.  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

INITIAL APPOINTMENT

5 - 6 HOURS

Strokes Only:  $450

Strokes + Shading:  $550

I want you to know all client's brows are different in the way they heal.  Do not base your brows off of someone else that has had work done.  I personally like to work in layers.  I would rather build doing multiple sessions than to do too much upfront as it is harder to adjust on the back end.  Touch-up sessions are required.  I guarantee my work, but I ask that you are patient with me as sometimes it may take a 3rd appointment to get the desired results.  I would love to work with you, but I ask if you are not willing to be patient then I may not be the artist for you.  My end goal is safety of your skin and to make you happy!

If you have never had previous brow permanent makeup, click the "book now" button to schedule your appointment.

TOUCH-UP APPOINTMENT

4 - 5 HOURS

Strokes Only:  $200

Strokes + Shading:  $300

The touch-up session, also known as the "Perfecting Session" is highly important.  This is where I will continue to perfect your brows.  I will re-check the symmetry of your brows, but remember, brows are considered sisters not twins.  I will also, go over all the faded strokes and add others if needed.  Because I work in layers, I may ask for you to come in for a 3rd session depending on how your brows heal to see if I need to perfect anything else.  Again, I guarantee my work, but I ask that you are patient with me.

If I did your initial session, you will schedule your touch-up appointment (10-12 weeks) after your last appointment.  Click the link to book.

COLOR BOOST APPOINTMENT

5 HOURS

Strokes Only:  $250

Strokes + Shading:  $350

All Color Boost Appointments are booked at different times and by my discretion.  Not everyone needs an annual color boost session.  You will only need a color boost appointment if your brows have faded a certain amount.  If you think you may require a color boost appointment, text me with a photo of your brows, outside in natural lighting in daylight (I cannot accept photo done in your bathroom) as I need to see the true color of your brows.  Ensure the photo is clean and clear (not blurry) and you can clearly see both brows.  After this, we can determine if you will need a color boost appointment at that time.

If I determine you are ready for your color boost appointment, you can click the link to book.
