what is isr

WHAT IS ISR?

A natural way to treat stretch marks by repairing the damaged skin using a specialize vitamin serum.  The vitamin serum is placed on the skin after needling with a rotary tattoo machine.  The serum combined with needling triggers the body's natural healing response to make the stretch mark less noticeable.  Results vary per client and multiple sessions may be needed.

PRE-CARE INSTRUCTIONS

BEFORE YOU BOOK!!

Results vary, and are dependent on your skin type, health, lifestyle, and ability to follow pre and post care instructions.

  • Your health affects your healed results, so eat well and drink water!

  • Healing is 4-6+ weeks depending on the client.

  • Don't book an appointment:

    • If your stretch marks are not at least a year old

    • If you are in the process of a major weight gain or weight loss (you must be at a stable weight)

    • right before important meetings, travel, events, or special occasions.

    • during your menstrual cycle because of increased risk of discomfort.

PRE-TREATMENT SKIN PREPARATION:

Your pre-care or pre-appointment prep is ESSENTIAL to the success of your treatment.

Your skin needs to be properly hydrated.

24 hours prior to your appointment, it is very important to refrain from the following:

● Alcohol

● Energy drinks

● Coffee

2 days prior to your application and 1 day after your application, refrain from:

  • any blood thinning medications, Ibuprofen, Advil, Niacin, etc.

6 months prior to your application, refrain from:

  • using Accutane

ALLERCIC REACTIONS

If you are prone to allergic reactions, contact me to meet for a test patch.  With the test patch, I will needle the skin with the serum.  The client will need to watch the area for 48 hours to ensure no allergic reactions occur.  If no allergic reactions occur, and you meet all other requirements, you may proceed to schedule your appointment.

POST INFLAMMATORY HYPERPIGMENTATION (PIH)

If you are prone to PIH, contact me to discuss further.  PIH is occurs in majority darker skin types.  PIH is temporary pigmentation that follows injury to the skin and may last up to a year.  You may have PIH if your pimples, scratches, or other injuries heal with hyperpigmentation (purple or dark in nature after healing).

PIH aftercare is different and has a longer healing time.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • The skin should not be dry, chapped, or irritated on the day of the appointment.  Brunette Vet Studio reserves the right to cancel your appointment if treatment area is not in optimal condition for the treatment.

  • Tylenol can be taken 30 minutes before your treatment without any contraindications.

  • Please make sure you don’t have anything important for the next 2-4 weeks after your visit (depends on the person and where treatment was done).  For instance, you do not want to have the treatment done on your stomach and go to the beach right after as the stretch marks are going to be red, raised, and look angry.

  • You will be more sensitive 5 days before, during, and 5 days after your menstrual cycle, schedule your appointment around this so you are more comfortable.

  • Take antiviral medication if you are prone to cold sores/ fever blisters/ HSV to prevent post treatment outbreak.

  • Smoking greatly reduces healing of the skin and will affect the outcome of your treatment. It is best to avoid smoking 24 hours before and after your treatment.

  • I cannot tattoo over blemishes, sores, or moles in or around the area to be treated.
